This town made things. It still does.
Liversedge sat at the heart of the Heavy Woollen District — a place that took what others threw away and turned it into product the world bought. That instinct hasn't gone anywhere.
This incubator runs from the offices of a furniture e-commerce group started in 2011 with £400 and a university project. No investors, no head office in London — just stock, customers, and fifteen years of figuring it out in West Yorkshire.
Founders who join don't get a landlord. They get a working environment: a trading business around them, and people who'll answer the questions Google can't.

Everything below is included. All of it free.
No rent, no membership fee, no equity. The idea is simple: strip away the costs and admin that slow early businesses down, and surround you with people who've done it. Why free?
Free office space
A proper desk at our Headlands Road site in Liversedge at no cost — no rent, no service charge, no catch. Your overheads stay where a startup's should: near zero.
Mentoring from operators
Regular sessions with the group's directors — e-commerce, AI, buying, marketplaces, finance, operations — plus direct access to the founder.
A shared space with other startups
You won't be building alone. Sit alongside the other founders in the cohort — swap problems, contacts and momentum — inside a business that's already trading.
Registered office address
Use our address — Headlands Road, Liversedge WF15 6QA — as your company's registered office — a real West Yorkshire base for Companies House, banks and suppliers from day one.
Meeting room access
Book proper meeting rooms for client pitches, supplier negotiations and team sessions — professional space when a laptop at a desk won't cut it.
AI as it's actually used
The group runs AI-first — across marketing, customer service, pricing and operations. You'll see the workflows and tools working in a live business, not on a conference slide.
To back local talent — and keep it in Kirklees.
Too many good founders leave this area because the support sits in Leeds, Manchester or London. We think the next generation of Kirklees businesses should be able to start here, stay here, and hire here.
This incubator was built inside a company that grew from £400 in this district without ever moving away. Making it free removes the last excuse. There's no equity taken and no fee charged — the return we're after is a stronger local economy and a few great neighbours.
Ashley Hainsworth
Founder & Managing Director, Flair Furniture Group
Ashley started Flair Furniture in 2011 with £400 and a University of Huddersfield project, while finishing a degree in Business Computing with Software Development. Fifteen years later, the business he built from that starting point is a multi-brand e-commerce group — trading primarily as Bed Kingdom — run from Liversedge with three West Yorkshire warehouses and a team of more than ninety across the UK and the Philippines.
He’s done it without taking a penny of outside investment: no venture capital, no loans-for-equity, no exit plan written before the first sale. Along the way the group has launched eight brands, built retail partnerships with Dunelm and The Range, expanded into Ireland and the UAE, and rebuilt itself around AI — from marketing and pricing to customer service and operations.
The incubator is his way of putting that experience back where it started. Every founder in the cohort gets direct access to Ashley and the group’s directors — the people running buying, e-commerce, marketplaces, finance and warehousing today.

“I started with £400 and no one to ask. This is the room I wish had existed.”
Twelve months, four stages.
Settle & sharpen
Move in, meet the teams, and pressure-test the plan. We'll tell you honestly what we think — early, when it's cheap to change.
Build & trade
Get to first revenue. Use the group's channels, tools and fulfilment to sell something real to real customers.
Systemise
Turn what works into process — stock, cash flow, customer service, marketing — so the business runs on more than adrenaline.
Stand alone
Plan the step out: your own space, your own systems, and a network that stays with you after you leave.
Doers, ideally with something to sell.
- AI, product & e-commerce founders — online retail, marketplace sellers, and builders of AI tools for commerce. Closest to what we know best.
- Early-stage, pre-scale — from idea on a napkin to first £250k of revenue. The years where good advice matters most.
- Local & committed — based in or willing to work from West Yorkshire. This is an in-person environment, on purpose.
- Bootstrappers at heart — you don't need investors to be ambitious. We're proof.
Pick up the thread.
Applications for the first cohort are open. Tell us who you are and what you're building — a few honest sentences beat a polished pitch. It takes about five minutes.
